The Monongalia County Health Department in West Virginia is on high alert after more than 125 individuals from 30 counties were potentially exposed to a confirmed case of measles. Out of the 152 additional people potentially exposed, 62 lack documentation of adequate protection against the highly contagious virus, making them high-risk individuals. This marks the first known case of measles in West Virginia since 2009, prompting health officials to work closely with the affected county to provide testing and vaccines.
