Two Bodies Discovered in Rural Oklahoma Amid Investigation into Disappearance of Kansas Mothers Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley
In a tragic turn of events, two bodies were discovered in rural Oklahoma amidst the investigation into the disappearance of Kansas mothers, Veronica Butler, 27, and Jillian Kelley, 39. The remains were found in rural Texas County and will be transported to the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner for identification.
Butler and Kelley went missing on March 30 while on their way to pick up Butler’s children for a birthday party in Kansas. The women were acquaintances, with Kelley supervising Butler’s visits with her children who were living with their paternal grandparent in Eva, Oklahoma.
The bodies were discovered the day after four people were arrested and charged in connection with the disappearance. The suspects arrested include Tad Bert Cullum, Tiffany Machel Adams, Cole Earl Twombly, and Cora Twombly, all charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy. Adams is the paternal grandmother of Butler’s children, Cullum is her boyfriend, and Cole and Cora Twombly are in a relationship and friends with Adams on Facebook.
Reports indicate that Butler was in the midst of a custody battle with the children’s father, seeking more visitation time and full custody. At the time of Butler’s disappearance, Adams had custody of the children.
The discovery of the bodies has brought a tragic end to the search for Butler and Kelley, and has left their families and the community devastated. The investigation into their disappearance and the circumstances surrounding their deaths is ongoing, with authorities working diligently to bring those responsible to justice.
