Apple has recently released new models of its iPad Pro and iPad Air, equipped with the latest technology and more efficient chips. Despite these upgrades, however, users may be disappointed to find that the battery life remains the same as previous models.
The iPad Pro now features an M4 chip built on second-generation 3-nanometer technology, with six efficiency cores compared to the M2 chip. Additionally, the iPad Pro boasts a more efficient OLED display. Surprisingly, neither the new chip nor the display has resulted in a longer battery life for the devices.
The 11-inch iPad Pro comes with a 31.29-watt-hour battery, while the 13-inch model has a slightly larger 38.99-watt-hour battery. The new iPad Air models also have slightly larger batteries than their predecessors, with the 11-inch model housing a 28.93-watt-hour battery and the 13-inch model containing a 36.59-watt-hour battery.
Despite these improvements, both the iPad Pro and iPad Air models still offer the advertised 10 hours of battery life when surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching videos. However, this drops to nine hours when using a cellular data network.
Apple enthusiasts may be disappointed that the new models do not offer longer battery life, especially with the introduction of more efficient chips and displays. Nevertheless, the new iPad Pro and iPad Air continue to deliver top-notch performance and features for users on the go.
